About the role

TurboPT has been serving physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists for over 35 years. Our platform handles clinical documentation, insurance billing, practice management, and AI-powered tools for thousands of therapy practices nationwide. We’re looking for a .NET engineer who’s done it before — built on modern stacks, seen legacy systems up close, and knows how to move a product forward without breaking what customers depend on.

What you’ll work on

You’ll take ownership of core backend systems that are due for modernization. That means rearchitecting aging infrastructure, introducing CI/CD where it’s missing, improving reliability, and building new features on top of a cleaner foundation. You’ll have a real voice in technical decisions and be expected to bring opinions — we want someone who can point at our stack and say “here’s what we should do next.”

What we’re looking for

• 2+ years of professional .NET development with strong C# fundamentals
• Proven experience with ASP.NET Core and modern .NET (6/7/8)
• Azure cloud experience — deployments, services, and ideally some migration work
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar)
• Comfortable working in and improving legacy codebases, not just greenfield
• SQL Server and Entity Framework experience
• Able to communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Bonus Points

• Experience building software in the US healthcare space, particularly EMR or practice management platforms
• Hands-on with insurance billing workflows, including EDI 837/835 and clearinghouse integrations
• Exposure to compliance frameworks such as HIPAA or SOC 2

Why TurboPT

TurboPT is a focused, experienced team building software that therapy practices across the
country rely on every day. We take engineering seriously, value technical leadership at every
level, and give our engineers the context and autonomy to make good decisions. If you’re
looking for work that matters and a team that respects the craft, we’d love to hear from you.
