About the Company
We are a stealth-mode battery startup developing cutting-edge battery technology. Our mission is to revolutionize battery technology to accelerate the global transition to clean energy. By leveraging innovative materials, advanced manufacturing techniques, and next-generation energy storage architectures, we are building the future of sustainable energy.

Can’t find the company name?
It’s not you, it’s us! We’re really excited about the potential of our technology, product, and mission, and have chosen to remain in stealth mode. If the job description piques your interest, please apply. If your skillset is aligned with what we’re looking for, the team will reach out to schedule your interview and tell you a bit more about us (ie. who we are).

About the Role
We are seeking a Process Engineer to scale prototype wet-cell processes into safe, repeatable, and efficient industrial manufacturing solutions. This role will own electrolyte filling (e-fill), wetting, degassing, sealing, and formation processes from development through production ramp. You will define process requirements, run experiments, select and manage equipment vendors, commission production equipment, and support manufacturing on the floor. Your work will directly affect cell performance, safety, yield, throughput, and cost.

What You’ll Do
Process Development

• Plan and execute design of experiments (DOEs) to characterize process-performance relationships and establish critical process parameters and process windows.

• Provide direct engineering support during builds, process trials, and production ramp.

• Lead root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions for existing prototype production processes.

• Identify manufacturing risks through PFMEA and implement mitigation plans.

• Support PFMEAs, process capability studies, gauge R&R studies, and change control.

• Create and release SOPs, work instructions, process specifications, control plans, and troubleshooting guides.

• Train technicians and operators on processes, equipment, and safety requirements.

Process Scale-Up

• Translate wet cell process requirements into equipment specifications, requests for quotation (RFQs), and acceptance criteria.

• Collaborate with the Equipment Team to identify and evaluate equipment vendors, integrators, and technical partners.

• Lead technical proposal reviews, design reviews, equipment demonstrations, and vendor selection.

• Serve as the technical owner for vendors from concept through production acceptance.

• Manage vendor performance against technical requirements, milestones, budget, schedule, and quality expectations.

• Coordinate factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, installation, commissioning, and qualification.

Who you are

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical, chemical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering discipline—or equivalent practical experience.

• You have 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, new product introduction, or a similar hardware-focused role.

• You have experience developing electrolyte fill, degas, or cell assembly processes through production scale-up and/or technology transfer.

• You bring experience developing manufacturing equipment requirements and managing equipment vendors or integrators.

This role is right for you if

• You enjoy maturing early-stage processes into industrial production systems.

• You enjoy hands-on work. You’re comfortable executing your own trials on the floor to maximize execution speed.

• You’re experimentally minded. You enjoy creating thoughtful DOEs, learning from imperfect results, and using data to guide the next iteration.

• You can turn evolving processes into clear requirements for external vendors.

• You can hold vendors accountable while maintaining productive working relationships.

Why Join Us?

• Innovative Technology: Work on cutting-edge energy storage solutions that power the future.

• Career Growth: Opportunities to work on high-impact projects and advance in a growing industry.

• Competitive Benefits: Comprehensive health, wellness, and professional development programs.

• Mission-Driven Culture: Be part of a team that is shaping the future of sustainable energy through innovation and excellence.
