About Flowdesk

At Flowdesk, we are building the infrastructure powering the next era of global finance. As a full-service digital asset trading and technology firm, we provide liquidity solutions, OTC trading, and market infrastructure that connect digital assets to global markets with institutional-grade precision, transparency, and scale. Flowdesk combines expertise from traditional finance, algorithmic trading, and blockchain technology to deliver always-on trading capabilities across the digital asset ecosystem.

Founded in 2020, we are a global team supporting institutions, exchanges, and token issuers to enable a tokenized financial markets ecosystem.

Why join Flowdesk? You’ll be joining a company operating at the intersection of finance, technology, and crypto; solving complex market problems, building critical infrastructure, and helping shape how digital assets connect to global liquidity. We move fast, think long term, and work with a strong ownership mindset across engineering, trading, product, operations, and business teams.

Role Description

The OTC Derivatives desk runs Flowdesk’s crypto derivatives trading. The desk prices and manages options books across major digital assets, provides liquidity on exchanges and to OTC counterparties, and works closely with the Engineering teams to build and improve the pricing, hedging, and risk tooling that supports it.

We are hiring a Junior Options Trader to join either the Singapore OR NYC desk. You will help run the day-to-day options book: monitoring Greeks and exposures, executing hedges, quoting clients, and tracking P&L. You will report to the Head of OTC Derivatives Trading and work alongside quants and engineers to sharpen trading strategies and automate desk workflows.

This is a hands-on role with real risk responsibility from early on, operating in a 24/7 market. It suits someone with solid options fundamentals who wants to grow quickly in digital asset derivatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and hedge the options book in real time, monitoring delta, gamma, vega, and theta exposures within agreed risk limits

• Price and quote options for OTC clients and on exchange venues, ensuring competitive and risk-aware spreads

• Execute hedging and rebalancing trades across spot, perpetuals, futures, and options

• Monitor and report daily P&L, attributing performance to Greeks, volatility moves, and flow

• Track volatility surfaces, skew, and term structure, flagging dislocations and trading opportunities to the desk

• Work with the Quant and Engineering teams to test, refine, and automate pricing, hedging, and risk tools

• Follow internal risk controls and compliance procedures, escalating limit breaches and operational issues promptly

• Contribute market insights and analysis that inform desk strategy and new product ideas

Requirements

Must Have

• 1 to 3 years of trading experience at a trading firm, bank, market maker, or hedge fund

• Strong grasp of options pricing theory, Greeks, volatility dynamics, and hedging techniques

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with confidence working with data under time pressure

• Working proficiency in Python or a similar language for analysis and tooling

• Fluency in English

Preferred

• Experience trading derivatives

• Market making or volatility trading background

• Experience with OTC client flow and quoting

• Degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Finance, or Computer Science

Location

• Singapore (required)

• Office-based role on the trading desk, hybrid considered

• Willingness to cover rotating hours, as crypto markets trade 24/7

Person Profile

• Calm and disciplined under pressure, with sound judgement when markets move fast

• Takes ownership of risk and outcomes, and escalates early rather than late

• Curious about markets and keen to learn from senior traders and quants

• Detail-oriented and rigorous with numbers, limits, and process

• Collaborative, communicating clearly with trading, quant, engineering, and risk teams

• Comfortable in a fast-moving, evolving environment where processes are still being built

Company Culture & Values

• Take Action & Own the Mission

• Be of Service & Contribute

• Innovate, Create Value, & Be Courageous

• Act with Integrity & Respect

Benefits

• International environment (English is the main language)

• 100% health coverage

• Team events and offsites

• Company Pension scheme

• Learning and Development budget

Recruitment Process

Our process is designed to assess genuine trading and quantitative depth. Candidates should expect the following stages:

• Stage 1: Initial screening with TA (30 mins)

• Stage 2: First interview with trading (45 mins), covering trading background and options fundamentals

• Stage 3: Further interviews with traders and Head of Options

• Stage 4: Final interview with Head of Talent Strategy

We value career stories and authentic motivation over trick questions and encourage candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply.
