Bring the world’s leading traders to pump.fun — and make it the home of social trading.

WHO WE ARE
Baton Corporation builds and maintains pump.fun, a consumer crypto product built around token creation, discovery and trading.
pump.fun is one of the youngest top revenue-generating companies on the planet. We are just getting started.
We ship to production daily. Bureaucracy is minimal. We solve hard technical and go-to-market problems at scale, and we’re data-driven - systematic tools and the scientific method decide what works, not opinions.
Working with us isn’t for everyone. Hours are long and sometimes strange. The pace is intense. Individuals own their function end to end. When we ship something, it reaches hundreds of thousands of users within days - and that is exactly what makes it so much fun.

THE ROLE
pump.fun is becoming the place where crypto trades in public. To grow the social graph on the pump.fun app, we need to onboard the top traders in the world across every market we support - and perps is one of the biggest. When great traders trade in the open, everyone else follows. That flywheel starts with you.
We’re hiring a Perps Business Development lead to own this market. Your job: win the leverage crowd. Bring high-volume perpetuals traders, whales and the biggest creators in the perps ecosystem onto pump.fun, and make it the place they share positions, show their PnL and build a following.
This is a hands-on, front-line role, not account management. You’ll find traders, win them, onboard them and make them stick - then turn what you learn into a playbook for the next thousand. You’ll sit close to product and engineering, so the feedback you bring in becomes features in days, not quarters. It’s one of three new BD seats at Baton, alongside Prediction Markets and Trading Terminal.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Find and win the traders who move markets - map the top traders, KOLs, whales, etc. in your market and get them trading on the pump.fun app

• Own your pipeline end to end - from the first DM on X or Telegram to onboarded, active and trading in public

• Grow the social graph - get high-signal traders sharing positions, calls and PnL on pump.fun so their followers come with them

• Design deals that work for both sides - referral, ambassador, creator and partnership structures that are worth a top trader’s time and tied to measurable activity

• Be the voice of the trader inside Baton - bring sharp, specific feedback to product and engineering, and help shape the features your market needs

• Show up where traders are - online across Crypto Twitter, Telegram and Discord, and more

• Track what matters - traders onboarded, retained activity, volume and social engagement

• Build the playbook - each seat is the first of its kind at Baton; what works for you becomes how we grow the market

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 2+ years of experience leading BD at a crypto company (or adjacent - fintech, trading, betting, gaming or the creator economy), with a track record of driving outsized impact within an organization

• A real network in perps - you know the high-volume traders and creators who move the market, and they answer your messages

• Perps-native fluency - you understand leverage, funding rates, liquidations, open interest and the venues where serious perps traders live, and you can talk to a pro trader as a peer

• A closer’s instinct - you can structure a deal, negotiate incentives, and know when a partnership is worth it and when it isn’t

• Relentless follow-up - you keep a clean pipeline, follow through on every thread and turn conversations into results

• Clear, confident communication - you write well, speak the language of Crypto Twitter, and represent the company with good judgment

• A scrappy, high-energy operator mindset - you thrive in a fast-paced, resource-lean environment where you’re building the playbook as you go

NICE TO HAVE

• BD or partnerships experience at a perps venue, exchange or trading platform (Hyperliquid, Drift, Lighter, Bybit, Binance or similar)

• An active perps trader yourself - with a following on X or in trading communities

• You’ve launched or scaled a referral, affiliate or ambassador programme

• Reach into non-English speaking trading communities, especially Chinese-speaking

Great traders follow great traders. Your job is to bring the first ones in.

WHY JOIN US

• Distribution from day one: you’re not pitching an unknown product - pump.fun is one of the most recognised names in crypto, with a community that already lives on it

• Own a market: this is the founding perps BD seat - you set the strategy, the targets and the playbook

• Speed: a team that ships daily, so the traders you bring in see their feedback live within days

• Upside that tracks impact: top-of-market base, a generous bonus structure linked to what you bring in, and token participation

• A small, sharp team in New York: direct access to leadership, real ownership and no layers between your idea and the decision

HOW WE’LL MEASURE SUCCESS

• First 30 days: The perps market mapped - a ranked target list of the top perps traders, groups and creators - with the first onboardings live and a feedback loop running with product

• First 90 days: A repeatable onboarding programme, a cohort of high-volume perps traders active and trading in public on pump.fun, and clear numbers on activity and retention

• First 180 days: Perps a meaningful and growing share of pump.fun’s trading activity and social graph - and pump.fun the go-to venue for the top perps traders in the world

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Base salary: $200,000 - $1,000,000, depending on experience and scope

• Performance-related compensation: Generous bonus structure linked to the traders, volume and activity you bring in - including token participation depending on level

• Benefits and relocation support: To be confirmed for this role

LOCATION & ELIGIBILITY

• New York preferred, working in person with our team. For exceptional candidates we will consider remote work with strong overlap with New York hours and regular time in New York.

• For New York-based roles you must have the right to work in New York. Please tell us in your application whether you will now or in the future require visa sponsorship.
