About the role
Aurella House is a Shopify migration and growth partner for established ecommerce brands. Our clients have real revenue and loyal customers, and they’ve been running for years. But their website, systems and brand haven’t kept up with how good the business really is.
We’re small, senior and growing. Right now the founder handles strategy, creative direction and client relationships, and our developer builds on Shopify. This role takes ownership of design: from a client’s strategy document to their brand and website. Every client starts with a Blueprint, a deep strategy session and a 12-month plan. Then we renovate the business (usually a Shopify migration and rebuild) and stay on as their growth partner.
We care about craft, and about how our clients feel throughout the process. Our clients are established, time-poor founders. They need work that looks elevated, explains itself clearly and moves their business forward.
Job functions
You’ll be responsible for the design side of our client work and our own brand, working directly with the founder.
- Designing Shopify homepages, product pages, collection pages and landing pages in Figma, ready for development
- Turning strategy into beautiful documents: Blueprint strategy decks, client presentations and proposals
- Brand work for Aurella House and our clients: layouts, case studies, social assets and visual systems
- Designing with Shopify’s sections and blocks in mind, so our developer can build it cleanly and clients can edit it themselves
- Working closely with our developer on handoff, responsive behaviour and QA
- Bringing your own ideas (layout, motion, imagery) rather than waiting to be told
- Flagging gaps or ambiguities in a brief early rather than guessing
Success looks like: designs are approved with few revision rounds, client documents look like they came from a premium firm, and the founder can step back from hands-on design.

- Understanding of how ecommerce sites work: product pages, navigation, conversion basics
- Able to take a strategy or messy notes and turn them into a clear visual story
- Strong written English and proactive, async communication
- Independent: this role exists so the founder can creative direct, not manage design day to day
Desirable skills
- Experience designing for Shopify themes specifically
- Brand identity work for product businesses
- Basic motion or animation for web
- Experience designing strategy decks, reports or pitch documents
- Spanish and strong English speaker
